Holly Freifeld has been an avid naturalist, hiker, and traveler for more than 30 years; her love of wildlife and the natural world has led to a career as a conservation biologist. Holly holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Oregon and has worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 17 years. A native Californian, Holly also has lived and worked in the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, Florida, American Samoa, and Ecuador. She lives with her husband and three (indoor) cats in Portland, Oregon.
