Erin Harrison has been a Sierra Club member since 2001. Her love of nature stems from growing up on her grandmother’s farm, where she spent many hours exploring and learning about native species. Her interest in the outdoors and environmental issues deepened after serving as the Chapter Secretary in the local America Corps, where she participated in community service activities in Maryland State Parks. She enjoys Service Outings because they provide her the opportunity to participate in meaningful service work, visit beautiful and remote landscapes, and meet interesting people from all over the world. When she isn’t on a Sierra Club Outing, Erin mostly spends her time working full-time and caring for her three children, two cats and a dog.
