Janet Talbot has been a volunteer with the Miami, FL Sierra Club ICO (Inspiring Connections Outdoors) since 2005. She became an ICO leader in 2010, and has led numerous outings with Miami’s inner city youth. While attending a Service Trip to Yosemite in 2016 with two ICO teens, she had so much fun it inspired her to become a trainee in 2018 and a cook in 2019. She currently works as a local kayak guide. She enjoys volunteering at Everglades National Park with the EKIP (Every Kid in the Park) program teaching fourth graders about nature. In her free time she enjoys cycling, kayaking, windsurfing, scuba diving, and metal smithing.
