Lee Thomas has been leading International Sierra Club trips since 2004. His trips have been in western and northern Europe. He is an avid hiker and typically wears out a pair of hiking boots every year. He has traveled widely, having visited all but two continents. He typically travels to Europe to several times a year. He speaks Spanish and a little French. He is a life member of the Sierra Club and Den Norske Turistforeneng. He works in the environmental field as a groundwater hydrologist with a government agency. He also manages the first aid kits for the Sierra International Outing Committee.
