Michal Phillips loves the ocean and the outdoors and has been volunteering with Sierra Club since the early 2000s in leader and cook capacities. She loves SCUBA diving, cooking, cycling and travel. She is active with Service Subcommittee and Hawaii Subcommittee as a leader and cook. She is a PADI certified SCUBA and Specialty Instructor and has been diving since 1991. She is also an AAUS Scientific Aquarium Diver at California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. As a volunteer Cook, she loves cooking and baking for hungry trip participants and has a wide range of international, healthful, and delicious specialties.
