Maintain historic buildings and restore artifacts and landscape at the site of a decisive Civil War battle. Return each day to cozy woodland cabins, tasty meals, and evening programs.

Follow an ancient trade route from Dali toward Tibet, stopping to explore traditional towns and villages and meet local people. Along the way, we'll visit soaring mountains, deep river valleys, and ancient monasteries.

Raft intermediate rapids and view bighorn sheep, falcons, and 800-year-old rock art on billion-year-old walls. We'll also learn about dinosaurs and geology, discuss natural history, and enjoy gourmet meals.

Hike lesser-known trails, enjoy stunning vistas of the crystal-blue sea, and visit charming little towns in the Italian Riviera, an area of World Heritage sites, nature reserves, and ancient beauty.

Paddle a rugged coastline featuring stunning scenery, rolling swells, and wilderness campsites. We'll watch for endangerered Hawaiian monk seals and spend evenings in a campground only accessible by trail or boat.
